hygroscopisch: het zout trekt vocht uit de lucht aan. Daardoor kan het oppervlak in een vochtige kamer klam worden of gaan \u201czweten\u201d. <strong>Een zoutlamp schoonmaken<\/strong> doe je daarom anders dan bij glas of keramiek.<\/p>\n<h2>Zo maak je een zoutlamp veilig schoon<\/h2>\n<ol><li>Schakel de lamp uit en haal de stekker uit het stopcontact.<\/li><li>Laat het lampje volledig afkoelen.<\/li><li>Veeg los stof weg met een droge zachte doek of borstel.<\/li><li>Gebruik bij hardnekkig vuil een zeer licht vochtige, goed uitgewrongen doek.<\/li><li>Droog de zoutsteen direct na.<\/li><li>Zet de lamp pas weer aan wanneer steen, voet, fitting en snoer volledig droog zijn.<\/li><\/ol>\n<h2>Wat moet je niet doen?<\/h2><p>Dompel de zoutlamp nooit onder in water, spoel hem niet af onder de kraan en gebruik geen agressieve schoonmaakmiddelen. Water lost zout op en kan bovendien elektrische onderdelen bereiken.<\/p>\n<h2>Wat als je zoutlamp zweet?<\/h2><p>Plaats de lamp op een onderzetter of niet-corrosief schaaltje, houd hem weg van zeer vochtige plekken en droog condens meteen af. In periodes met hoge luchtvochtigheid kan een droge opslagplek helpen wanneer de lamp langere tijd niet wordt gebruikt.<\/p>\n<h2>Hoe vaak moet je een zoutlamp schoonmaken?<\/h2><p>Dat hangt van de ruimte af. In een schone droge kamer is afstoffen om de paar weken vaak voldoende. In een stoffige of vochtige omgeving kan vaker onderhoud nodig zijn.<\/p>\n<h2>Controleer ook snoer, fitting en lampje<\/h2><p>Kijk tijdens het schoonmaken of snoer, stekker, fitting en schakelaar onbeschadigd zijn.
