neus<\/strong> kan een geschikte zoutoplossing helpen om dik slijm losser te maken en de neusholte te reinigen. Nederlandse apotheek- en ziekenhuisinformatie gebruikt hiervoor vooral <strong>fysiologische zoutoplossing<\/strong>. Himalayazout op zichzelf is geen medisch decongestivum.<\/p>\n<h2>Wat doet zoutoplossing in de neus?<\/h2><p>Een oplossing met de juiste zoutconcentratie kan slijm verdunnen, korstjes losmaken, het slijmvlies bevochtigen en pollen of ander vuil mechanisch wegspoelen. Het effect komt door de zoutoplossing en het spoelen, niet door de roze kleur van het zout.<\/p>\n<h2>Himalayazout of gewoon zout?<\/h2><p>Voor neusspoelen is vooral belangrijk dat concentratie, waterkwaliteit en hygi\u00ebne kloppen. Er is geen overtuigend bewijs dat de sporenelementen in Himalayazout beter werken tegen neusverstopping dan een normale, correct bereide zoutoplossing.<\/p>\n<h2>Wat is fysiologische zoutoplossing?<\/h2><p>Een oplossing van ongeveer 0,9% natriumchloride benadert de zoutconcentratie van lichaamsvocht en wordt daarom veel gebruikt in neussprays en spoelingen. Een kant-en-klaar apotheekproduct geeft de meest voorspelbare concentratie en hygi\u00ebne.<\/p>\n<h2>Zelf neusspoelen: volg Nederlandse medische instructies<\/h2><p>Volg de gebruiksaanwijzing van je neusspoelsysteem of de instructies van apotheek, huisarts of ziekenhuis. Gebruik een schoon hulpmiddel en een geschikte zoutconcentratie. Bij twijfel over waterkwaliteit of wanneer je buiten Nederland bent, zijn steriel, gedistilleerd of vooraf gekookt en afgekoeld water veilige keuzes.<\/p>\n<h2>Helpt een zoutinhaler?<\/h2><p>Zoutinhalers worden als wellnessproduct verkocht en sommige gebruikers ervaren tijdelijk comfort. Er is echter beperkt klinisch bewijs dat droge zoutinhalatie een verstopte neus behandelt of een voorgeschreven behandeling vervangt.<\/p>\n<h2>Kan een zoutlamp je neus vrijmaken?<\/h2><p>Daar is geen sterk bewijs voor. Een zoutlamp kan een prettige sfeer geven, maar is geen behandeling voor verkoudheid, sinusitis of allergie.<\/p>\n<h2>Wanneer medische hulp zoeken?<\/h2><p>Neem contact op met een arts bij benauwdheid, hevige aangezichtspijn, hoge koorts, duidelijke verslechtering of aanhoudende klachten.
